What Data We Collect

Sign-Up Forms Sharing Our Smiles collects contact information including name, email, phone, address, and involvement preferences on various sign-up or other forms throughout our website. This information is voluntarily given by you and is used to help you get involved with Sharing Our Smiles, help you remain updated about Sharing Our Smiles and its programs, for fundraising, and to contact you in response to questions or issues. Donation Information Financial information is collected during the online donation process but is not stored by Sharing Our Smiles. When placing a donation online, you will be re-directed to an external vendor that receives your payment information and processes the donation. The vendor stores financial information you provide to it according to its privacy policies. Sharing Our Smiles only receives and maintains a donor’s contact information, including name, email, phone, and address. Sharing Our Smiles does not receive or maintain your financial information through online donations. Donor contact information collected by Sharing Our Smiles during the online donation process is stored within its donor management database. For donations placed over the phone, Sharing Our Smiles similarly stores donor contact information, but also financial information for recurring payments, within our donor management database. We encrypt financial information maintained in our donor management database, and access to the database is restricted to personnel with a legitimate business need to access or modify the information contained therein.

Social Media Sites When you interact with any Sharing Our Smiles property page or account on a social media platform, such as Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, we may collect the personal information that you make available on that page or account, including your account ID or “handle.” However, we comply with the privacy policies of the corresponding social media platform and only collect and store such personal information that we are permitted to collect by these social media platforms.
